Youth Council Holds Strategic Planning Meeting
Safina Party's Youth Council convened to discuss strategies for increasing youth participation in political processes and policy development.
The Safina Party Youth Council, led by Chairman Anthony Michuki, held a strategic planning meeting this week to chart the course for increased youth engagement in Kenya’s political landscape.
Key Discussion Points
The meeting focused on several critical areas:
- Digital Engagement: Leveraging social media and digital platforms to reach young voters
- Policy Development: Involving youth in crafting policies that affect their futures
- Leadership Training: Building the next generation of political leaders
- Economic Opportunities: Creating pathways for youth employment and entrepreneurship
Youth-Led Initiatives
Several new initiatives were proposed during the meeting, including a mentorship program pairing young activists with experienced party officials, and a quarterly youth summit to discuss issues affecting young Kenyans.
“Our goal is to ensure that young people are not just voters, but active participants in shaping Kenya’s future,” said Anthony Michuki, Youth Council Chair and Lead Attorney.
