About Safina Party
Building a Better Kenya Through Social Democracy, Equality, and Non-Violence
Our History
Safina Party was founded on the principles that have guided progressive movements throughout history: the belief that government should serve all people equally, that economic opportunity should be accessible to everyone, and that change can be achieved through peaceful, democratic means.
Since our establishment, we have grown into a national political force with active members in all 47 counties of Kenya. Our grassroots approach to politics ensures that ordinary citizens have a voice in shaping our nation's future.
Our Vision
A Kenya where every citizen enjoys equal rights and opportunities, where government is transparent and accountable, and where prosperity is shared by all. We envision a nation that leads Africa in democratic governance, social justice, and sustainable development.
Our Mission
To build a political movement that empowers ordinary Kenyans to participate meaningfully in governance, to advocate for policies that reduce inequality and expand opportunity, and to demonstrate that politics can be a force for positive change when grounded in integrity and service.
Our Core Values
Social Democracy
We believe in combining democratic governance with social justice policies that ensure every Kenyan has access to essential services and opportunities.
Equality
All Kenyans deserve equal treatment under the law and equal access to economic and political opportunities, regardless of background or circumstances.
Non-Violence
We are committed to peaceful political engagement and reject violence in all its forms. Change must come through dialogue, democracy, and consensus.
Leadership Philosophy
Under the leadership of Hon. Paul Mwite and our dedicated management team, Safina Party has pioneered a new approach to political leadership in Kenya - one that prioritizes listening over speaking, service over self-interest, and collective progress over individual gain.
Our leaders are drawn from diverse backgrounds and bring together expertise in law, public administration, community organizing, and policy development. What unites them is a shared commitment to transforming Kenya through democratic means and a belief that politics can be a noble profession when practiced with integrity.
